Vssadmin list providers

Lists registered volume shadow copy providers.

Syntax

	$lib:\\vssadminlistproviders.bmp$ Copy Code
vssadmin list providers

There are no parameters for this command.

The vssadmin list providers command displays the provider name, the provider type, the provider ID, and the version of each installed shadow copy provider.

To list the currently registered shadow copy providers, type:

	$lib:\\vssadminlistproviders1.bmp$ Copy Code
vssadmin list providers

Output similar to the following is displayed:

	$lib:\\vssadminlistproviders2.bmp$ Copy Code
Provider name: 'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0' Provider type: System Provider Id: {b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5} Version: 1.0.0.7
